High School Internships

Educating the next generation of Theater Arts professionals is an integral part of SPARC’s mission. These internships provide job-based learning to high school students interested in Theater Arts.
SPARC (LSF) has given me so many gifts, from leading me to a profession that I love to teaching me fundamentals that will support me for the rest of my career. Most importantly, coming back to LSF feels like coming home. Livermore Shakespeare Festival’s intern and apprentice programs offer an opportunity unlike any other and gives their students skills that will become integral to their success in the professional world.

About the Program

Who

SPARC seeks high school students local to the Livermore area who are responsible, hardworking, and interested in spending their summer with a professional theater company. These internships provide students with on-the-job training and the opportunity to work alongside theater professionals. No experience is required.

What

Interns must be available approximately 12 hours per week, (3 rehearsals or work calls each week). Hours can be flexible due to students’ schedules, and some interns may choose to participate to a greater degree if summer work and family vacations allow for it. If a student is not available 12 hours a week, then they can sign up for our volunteer program.

These are unpaid internships. Earn letters of recommendation for college, community service hours, and free tickets.
