WHO WE ARE

SPARC (Shakespeare & Performing Arts Regional Company) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that creates community through the experience of live theatrical events that celebrate the human experience. We are a company that is inclusive and integrated with the Tri-Valley community through our flagship program, Shakespeare in the Vineyard, and our in-school education program in the Livermore Public schools.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE VINEYARD

SPARC, now at Darcie Kent Vineyards, has been a Livermore Valley Wine Country cultural treasure since 2002. With over 5,000 patrons, the Shakespeare in the Vineyard festival is an established tourist destination. By setting the works of Shakespeare and other playwrights of literary merit amongst the gorgeous vistas of wine country and enhancing the evening with award-winning wine, we have branded the Shakespeare in the Vineyard experience. This experience is unique to our region and is a draw for theater lovers and wine enthusiasts alike. We produce plays each summer that feature some of the Bay Area’s top talent, some in the public eye on Law + Order, at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and in NYC.
